Flannagan, John V. “Johnny” 89 of Lanexa, VA., passed on to heaven on Saturday, January 28, 2023. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 68 years, Barbara Flannagan, a sister-in-law, Nancy Graham (Fred), brother-in-law, Wayne Martin (Becky) and a niece, Tanya Jackson (Clay). Johnny began his career as a heavy equipment operator for the City of Williamsburg and later retired from Cheatham Annex (the Naval Weapons Station). He served the community on the James City Bruton Vol. Fire Dept., he was a Master Mason and Past Master of Chickahominy Masonic Lodge #286, A.F. & A.M., and was a member of James River Baptist Church. Johnny was just one of those guys who was always ready and willing to help others.
A graveside service will be held 2 PM, Wednesday, February 1, 2023, at Williamsburg Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the James City Bruton Fire Department, 3135 Forge Rd, Toano, VA 23168
