Williamsburg — Margaret (Peggy) Cooler, 84, passed away on Jan. 17, 2023

Peggy was born on Oct. 1, 1938 in Goldsboro NC, later becoming a long time resident of VA.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, Barnes & Margaret Aycock, her youngest daughter, Cynthia Reaves Cain, her granddaughter, Jessica Nicole Cain, and great granddaughter, Amber Nicole Dziechciarz.
She is survived by her two daughters, Terri Reaves Montgomery (her husband Sheriff Ron Montgomery), Angela Reaves Harris (her husband Ricky), her son Kenneth Reaves, and brother Charles Aycock. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, Kat (Ross), Brittany (Kris), Ricky (Crystal), Christi (Josh) Michael, Ann, Lisa, Tyler(Darci) and many great grandchildren.
Peggy spent many years as a resident manager in VA, GA and FL. While in FL caring for a relative with Alzheimer’s she realized her passion for nursing others and began a career in home healthcare. The sudden death of her youngest daughter returned her to NC where she continued caring for others until she was no longer able. Peggy was deeply loved and adored for her compassion, generosity and deep love for the Lord.
Peggy returned to VA in January 2020 to be with her daughters due to her own declining health. She was kept at home with the loving care of her devoted family and the incredible Hospice team and now has fulfill her final dream to go home and be with the Lord.
The family will hold a private celebration of life.
