What a terrible loss.
We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Daniel Ambrose Cartwright, 32, of Alexandria, Virginia on January 8, 2023. Daniel was born in Arlington, Virginia on March 12, 1990 and raised in Woodbridge, Virginia and Summerville, South Carolina. Daniel was a beloved son, brother, nephew, cousin, and grandson. He was a humble and compassionate young man with a beautiful smile who never met a stranger. His infectious spirit touched and inspired many people in his short life, and he was a friend to all. He was always willing to help others in need, and listen; his kindness and caring for others will never be forgotten by those he encountered in his life.
Daniel took immense pride in his family, friends, and work endeavors. His presence made the Cartwright family complete and he leaves a huge hole that will never be filled. The comradery he built with his coworkers made for an unforgettable work environment and culture; colleagues and customers alike were enamored by his kindness, support, and strong work ethic.
One of Daniel’s greatest joys in life was music, especially reveling in the unforgettable sounds and experiences of live music and music festivals. Besides live music, Daniel was passionate about spending time outdoors – he loved boating, camping, hiking, and snowboarding. Daniel was a natural on the slopes.
