Nikki Ann O’Connell, 82, originally from Crisfield, MD, passed away on December 8, 2022. Nikki moved to Newport News, VA with her husband, Stephen O’Connell in 1969 from Northern Virginia to make a home and raise a family.Nikki enjoyed her work as an independent legal researcher before retiring in 2018.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Judge Norris E. Ward and Anna Miles Ward and her sister, Betty Ward. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Stephen O’Connell; daughter, Katy Lorenti (John) and her 3 grandsons, Chris Smallenberg, Tim Smallenberg, and Craig Warrick.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m on Sunday, December 18, 2022 at Weymouth Funeral Home, 12746 Nettles Drive, Newport News, VA 23606.
