On October 26, 2022, our Lord and Father called upon his angel, Alethia “Lee Lee” Jones, to come and spread her wings.
Lee Lee blessed and gave joy to all those around her for fifty-seven years. She was born, raised, and was a lifelong resident of Williamsburg, VA. She was educated in the Williamsburg-James City County Public Schools and attended Lafayette High School.
Lee Lee gave served in the hospitality industry for over thirty years in the Williamsburg area until her health began to fail in early 2020.
Lee Lee was predeceased by her father, Curtis Howard, grandparents Thomas E. and Alethia Wise, cousin Ned Cary IV, nephew Brian Herrmann, and best friend, Teresa ”Terri” Green.
She will be greatly missed and remembered by her mother, Evelyn Jones; brother, William “Speedy” Jones (Sadie); sisters, Jacqueline Herrmann, Cynthia Johnson, Bridgette Jones, and Andrea Rivera (Jaye); nieces, Jovon Chanese, Kyria, Cassandra, Ashley, LaKiva, Courtney, and Whitley; nephews, Adam Peak, William Jones Jr, Cameron, and Carlos Jr.; aunt, Juanita Cary; cousins, Gregory, Tomiko Cary, and Tracie “Lee” Gilchrist; best friends, Willie Mae, Linda D., CiCi, Wanda and Judie “Sister Girl”; and a host of very loving great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives, and friends.
A memorial service will be held at noon Saturday, November 5, 2022, at Whiting’s Funeral Home. Livestream will be available at the beginning of the service.
