Our beloved son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend, Jacob Clayton Rogers, “Jake”, passed away suddenly on May 18th, 2022. Our hearts are broken, but we have so many fond memories of his life!
Jake grew up in West Point, VA and graduated from West Point High School followed by Mary Washington College. He then headed west to Colorado for new adventures. He took great joy in nature and the outdoors. He loved animals, especially his rescue dog, Petey.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Irwin A. and Louella T. Seibel, as well as his paternal grandparents, Clayton M. and Lillian K. Rogers, aunt Janet R. Yablonski, uncle Clayton A. Rogers.
He is survived by his parents, Richard and Anne Rogers, his sister and brother-in-law, Rachel and Jason Haines, and nephews Kyle and Keagan Haines; aunts Susan Seibel (Art Firl), Jean Seibel (Wayne Forrest), cousin Jamie Forrest (Jeremy Zelinger) as well as many other family members and friends.
A Celebration of Jake’s Life will be held on Monday, June 6th at 4 pm at The Boathouse at Sunday Park (Gardens Pavillion Room), 4602 Millridge Parkway, Midlothian, VA 23112.
