NEW KENT — Padgette Stone Evelyn, 70, of New Kent VA, passed away unexpectedly Thursday April 21, 2022.
Padgette was a longtime, devoted member of the choir at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church who always enjoyed cooking and spending time with her grandchildren and family.
Padgette was preceded in death by her parents, Lucion and Lucy Stone. She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Chuckie Evelyn; her three sons, Charles Evelyn III and his wife, Katherine, Willie Evelyn and his wife, Kimberly, and Benjamin Evelyn and his wife, Aimee; one sister, Marea Hyman; six grandchildren, Taylor, Kinsleigh, Boyce, Charlie, Reagan and Bennett; a special sister-in-law, Emily Clay Evelyn; and numerous cousins and friends.
A funeral service will be held 11 AM Tuesday, April 26th at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, New Kent VA with burial following in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends 5-8 PM Monday at Vincent Funeral Home, Providence Forge VA.
