Clarence R. Lawson, 94, of Adner, VA passed away April 7, 2022. Clarence had a full career, serving 27 years at the Tidewater Review and 20 years at Chesapeake Corporation. He greatly enjoyed hunting, fishing, and going to horse shows with his daughter and family.
Clarence was preceded in death by his six sisters, Margaret Mills, Edna Carter, Betty Davis, Barbara Ripchick, Alice Howell and Lucille Brown; and a grandson-in-law, John G. Hart, Jr.. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Grace Carlton Lawson; daughter, Kay Lumpkin (Richard); granddaughter, Jennifer Hart; great-granddaughter, Gracie Hart; along with several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 PM, Sunday, April 10th at Vincent Funeral Home, West Point, with the funeral service beginning at 3 PM. Interment will follow in Shackelfords Chapel Cemetery, 3727 Buena Vista Rd., Shacklefords, VA 23156.
