WILLIAMSBURG — Richard A. Beecher, 71, of Williamsburg, VA, passed away on December 17th, 2021 surrounded by his children.
Richard was preceded in passing by his parents, David and Vyvian, his wife and love of his life, Susan W. Beecher, and his brother, Dave L. Beecher.
He is survived by his son, Scott D. Beecher of Newport News, Va.; daughters, Elaine Beecher Wells (Greg) of Williamsburg, Va. and Tracey Pesante (Emilio) of Williamsburg, Va.; brother, Darryl Beecher of Altoona, PA.; sister, Kathy Zoeller of Altoona, Pa.; grandson Cameron Wells, and granddaughters Makenzie Pesante and Jayden Pesante.
Richard was born on January 17, 1950 to David and Vyvian Beecher in Altoona, PA. After graduating from Altoona Area High School, Richard joined the United States Navy and proudly served for 26 years before retiring in Williamsburg, Va.
His final resting place will be in Greenock, Scotland beside his wife. At Richard’s request, there will be no funeral or memorial service.
