WILLIAMSBURG — Please join us in celebrating the life of our dear mother Barbara (Cunneely) Stolz, who passed peacefully Monday, August 9th at home and in the attentive care of her daughter Kathy and son-in-law John, after a long illness.
She was a proud graduate of St. Agnes High School and worked at NYTelephone before meeting our dad at the engagement party of our aunt and uncle as best man and maid of honor. They soon followed to the altar themselves.
Mom was busy raising three kids born within two and a half years as a homemaker until becoming a travel agent of which she was very proud. She traveled to many places including Hawaii, the Caribbean, and Europe on business and pleasure. When we were younger, she was a coordinator of CCD, and was a Eucharistic minister bringing communion to people at home. Our friends were always welcome at the house, and we had many a wonderful time on the deck of our cozy and love filled home.
She is survived by her children and their spouses; Diane and John O’Sullivan; John and Christine Stolz,; and Kathy and John Jakob; and eight grandchildren, Maeve, Emily, John, Thomas, Ailis, Brady, Erin, and Darby.
A memorial Mass will be held Thursday, September 16th at 11 am at Our Lady of Mercy Church in Hicksville, NY with the burial following at St Charles Cemetery.
