WILLIAMSBURG — Michael A. Levanti, 89, passed away Tuesday, March 2, 2021.
Michael was born in Brooklyn, New York, to Carmine and Lena Levanti. He grew up in Elmhurst, Queens, New York, and was a graduate of Newtown High School. He graduated from Baruch College, CUNY and began his business career at Prior Chemical Corp. in NYC, where he remained for 44 years, of which he was the president for the last 15 years. He was proud to serve in the U.S. Army from 1955 to 1957.
In retirement, Mike enjoyed golf, gardening, traveling and spending time with family and friends. He was a member of Saint Bede Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his son, Michael Kenneth Levanti.
He is survived by his wife, Joan; daughter, Kathleen Price; and granddaughters, Kimberly, Emily and Samantha.
A Mass will be held at Saint Bede Catholic Church at a later date with interment in the church columbarium.
