VIRGINIA BEACH — Amy Jo Knehr, 47, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2020. Amy was born Dec. 6, 1972, at DePaul Hospital, Norfolk, to Rebecca McMahon.
Amy attended Bayside High school, but graduated from Key West High School. She worked as a clerk for the City of Virginia Beach Office of Public Utilities. Amy had a heart of gold and loved her friends. She excelled at cake and cupcake making. Amy was an avid reader. Her greatest joys were her two sons and her little granddaughters.
Amy was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ralph and Faye McMahon; and aunt, Margaret Dodd
Left to cherish Amy’s memory are her children, Brandon and Justin Knehr; mother, Becky McMahon; grandchildren, Isabella and Katie; aunt, Jenny McMahon, and her husband, Tony. Amy had a big heart and will be missed by so many who knew her.
Services for Amy will be private. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date due to COVID-19.
