Christine A. Simielo Preston, 83, of Virginia Beach, passed away peacefully at home Saturday, April 25, 2020.
Christine was born Dec. 24, 1936, in Sayre, Pennsylvania, and graduated from Mount St. Mary’s Academy in Tonawanda, New York. After getting married in 1956 to Bob Preston and moving around due to the U.S. Navy, they ended up settling in Virginia Beach in 1972.
Christine was preceded in death by her mother and father, Helen and Martin Simielo; and daughter, Donna Marie.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 63 years, Robert “Bob” P. Preston Sr.; sister, Sandra Battaglini of Owego, New York; sons, Robert Jr., John, and his wife, Roberta, and James; grandchildren, Donna Ridgeway (Christopher) and Robert III; great-grandchildren, Breanna Ridgeway and Karsen Preston; extended family members and many nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by family and friends, who she truly enjoyed spending time with.
