
Charlotte Marie Fields Boris, 77, of Virginia Beach, went to be with the Lord and Savior Sunday, March 29, 2020, surrounded by her loving family at her home after a long battle with COPD.
Charlotte was born Oct. 26, 1942, in Wise County to the late Jefferson and Mary Williams Fields.
Charlotte was preceded in death by three sisters, Lillian Turner, Bonnie McReynolds and Clarice White; and three brothers, Claude Fields, Junior Salyers and Bob Fields.
After graduation from St. Paul High School in 1961, Charlotte married her sweetheart, Jim Boris, and moved to Roanoke. After settling in Roanoke, Charlotte attended Brandon Secretarial School, were her career began in real estate.
Charlotte spent 21 years in Roanoke raising a family with her husband. In 1982, Jim’s business caused them to move to Virginia Beach. In Virginia Beach, Charlotte, continued her career as a real estate paralegal for over 40 years in the Hampton Roads area until she retired.
Charlotte was a devoted and loving wife, mother, nana and loyal friend. Other than spending time with her family, she was an avid crafter and professional shopper who loved the beach and Christmas.
Charlotte gives her God all the praise, honor and glory for granting her more time with her family after leaving the hospital.

Charlotte is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, James “Jim” Boris; daughter, Dawn Douros, and her husband, Sam, of Virginia Beach; three grandchildren, Stephanie Zettler, and her husband, Wayne, of Virginia Beach, Stephen Black, and his wife, Angela, of Louisville, Kentucky, and Samantha Robinson, and her husband, Myles, of Virginia Beach; seven great-grandchildren, Hunter, Haley, Madison, Braxton, Braydon, Brooklyn and Leiland; as well as many nieces, nephews and loving friends.
Services and burial will be private.
