Narres Woods Dickerson III, 68, passed away suddenly Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2019, leaving behind his family to mourn.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 34 years, Virginia.
He is survived by his son, Narres Woods Dickerson IV; daughters, Anice Mae and Aimeedorra Felicia Dickerson; grandchildren, Cheyanne, Anakin and Destiny Lindsay; and sister, Edith Carr.
Narres never knew a stranger, from the time people met him, he considered them a friend. He loved helping, even when help was not required. He enjoyed cooking, reading and spending time with his children. He served in the U.S. Air Force for 20 years before retiring and earned a Medal of Valor.
A memorial service will be held at noon, Saturday, Sept. 7, at Grace Baptist Church.
