Richard Allen Carlson, 41, passed away Saturday, June 1, 2019.
He was born April 10, 1978, in Takoma Park, Maryland. After graduating from high school, Richard continued his education and received an Associate Degree in Culinary Arts from Johnson & Whales University. Richard was a chef for 24 years. He loved watching sports, his favorite team was the Buffalo Bills. He also enjoyed camping, hiking, skiing and amusement parks.
He is survived by his parents, Norman G. Carlson (Catherine) and Victoria A. Cusanelli (Rocky); sisters, Stephanie Nicole Divita and Samantha Jo Smith; nieces, Emma Rae Duke, Bryleigh Anne Smith and Harper Mae Smith; uncles, Joe Cusanelli, Nick Cusanelli, Philip Carlson and Benny Carlson; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Viewing will be held from 3 to 4 p.m., Saturday, June 8, at Beach Funeral & Cremation Services, 4456 Bonney Road, Virginia Beach. A celebration of life service will immediately follow visitation at the funeral home.
