Kenneth L. Matthews Sr., 71, born May 30, 1947, son of the late Harriet and Willie Matthews, entered into eternal rest Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2019.
He leaves to cherish fond memories with his six children, Vernice (Eric), Kenneth Jr. (Joyce), Bernita, Kenneth Berkley, Olivia and Moniko (Dania); 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; sister, Catherine Quinn; brother, Morris Matthews (Valerie); and a host of nieces, nephews other loving relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held at noon Tuesday, Feb. 26, at St. John Baptist Church, Toano. Interment will follow in Williamsburg Memorial Park. Family and friends will assemble at the church by 11:30 a.m. Mr. Matthews may be viewed beginning at 10 a.m. until the hour of his service.
