Jarvis Bruno Redd, 66, was born Sept. 6, 1952. On Friday, Jan. 4, 2019, Jarvis Redd exited this world surrounded by friends and family.
A 1971 graduate of G.W. Carver High School, Redd had a lifelong love for fishing, cooking and spending time with his friends. An avid sports fan, Sundays were dedicated to watching the Denver Broncos.
Jarvis Redd made friends with everyone who crossed his path and left each person with a smile on their face.
He is survived by his siblings, Chairassia Jenkins and Darryl Burton (Bo) and the Burton family; sister-in-law, Nancy D. Redd; nephews, Corey and Shaun Redd; and nieces, Shannon Redd and Lauren Redd Ertekin.
Welcoming him to his new heavenly home are his father, Thomas O. Redd; mother, Fannie Alston Redd; brother, Thomas I. Redd; as well as host of loving relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, Jan. 11, at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home with a repast to follow at Langley Village Community Center, Hampton. Interment will take place in Hampton Memorial Gardens at a later date.
