Mattline Taylor, 67, answered the Master’s call and entered into eternal rest Monday, Oct. 22, 2018. Her life began July 7, 1951, the daughter of the late Clarence and Mattie Lee Lightfoot of Toano.
Early in life, she accepted Christ as her Personal Savior. She graduated from West Philadelphia High School and continued her studies at Smithdeal Massey Business College. Mattline retired from Owens-Illinois Glass Company in 2007. Mattline was a loving stepmother, sister, aunt and friend. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was also preceded in death by an infant son; brother, James Monroe Lightfoot Sr.; and nephew, Michael Lightfoot.
She leaves to cherish and treasure her blessed memories her sister, Brenda Lightfoot; brothers, Thaddeus Lightfoot, Clarence Jones (Kimberlee) and Kelly Jones (Vickie); stepdaughter, Rhonda Taylor; aunt, Elnora Brown; uncle, John Lee Sr. (Levonia); and a host of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 31, at Whiting’s Funeral Home Chapel. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home by 12:30 p.m. Wednesday. Mrs. Taylor may be viewed from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to services at the funeral home.
