Barbara J. Reaves, 64, was born Nov. 10, 1953, to Bernard and Catherine O’Brien in Pensacola, Florida. She passed away Saturday, Sept. 8, 2018, surrounded by her loving family.
Barbara is survived by her husband of 43 years, David Sr.; sons, David Jr. and Daniel; daughter, Megan; and granddaughter, Stella. She also leaves behind her brother, Bernard O’Brien Jr.; and sisters, Patti McRae (George), Kathleen Fullerton (Raymond) and Theresa Speight (Jeff).
The family will receive friends at from 7 to 9 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 12, at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 5033 Rouse Drive, Virginia Beach. A life celebration service will be held at 9:30 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 13, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in Barbara’s name.
