Paul P. Cunningham, 99, of Virginia Beach passed away on June 17, 2018.
He was born in St. Paul to the late Charles and Eva Cunningham, and was predeceased by his cherished wife Mildred, as well as four brothers and one sister.
He is survived by his sister Jane King; nephews Joe Cunningham and Howard Batkin; nieces Martha Consalvo and Judy Tunick, and several other nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog “Coop.”
He was a lifetime, active member of Heritage United Methodist Church. He retired from Nolde Bakery. In later years, he and his wife Mildred loved to travel around the United States. Paul was a powerful force in his family and will be dearly missed by all.
The family would like to extend their thanks to the staff of Kindred Hospice Care for their compassionate care, as well as many other caregivers who assisted Paul over the past few years, especially Phyllis Hall.
A visitation will be held Thursday, June 21, 2018, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, 1457 Independence Blvd, Virginia Beach, VA 23455.
A funeral service will be held Friday, June 22, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Heritage United Methodist Church, 815 Baker Rd, Virginia Beach, 23462.
Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Norfolk. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to Heritage United Methodist Church. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.hollomon-brown.com.
