James Russell Hodges Jr., 59, passed away after a long illness Thursday, May 17, 2018. Jim fought a courageous battle and won. He will be missed by many family and friends.
Jim was preceded in death by his mother, Ann Hodges; father, James Hodges; and maternal and paternal grandparents.
Jim is survived by his wife, Debbie; son, Daniel; brother, Jeffrey, and Becky, and children, Elizabeth, Aaron and Ethan. He is also survived by his in-laws, Doris and Dan Smoker; brother-in-law, Jason, and his wife, Amy, and their three children, Jamie, Dani and Jacob.
Jim was most proud of his son Daniel. They had a special bond and enjoyed watching the Redskins and Nationals games together. He most enjoyed watching Daniel sail in his many regattas he attended over the years.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, May 21, at Amory Funeral Home, Grafton. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, May 22, at the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Grafton Christian Church Cemetery.
