Dale Kenneth Schaeffer, 69, passed away unexpectedly Friday, Feb. 9, 2018.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents, Harold Schaeffer and Ruth Wilson Pasternak; and brother, Richard “Dick” Rath.
Dale was a veteran of the U.S. Army and formerly served as police officer and member of a SWAT team in Florida. He was currently employed with Mygrant Glass. He enjoyed spending time with family, especially his grandchildren and pet Piggy. Some of his other hobbies included fishing, hunting and riding his motorcycle.
Survivors include his children, Darrell Schaeffer, and his wife, Shelly, and Shannon Leal, and her husband, Ernesto; six grandchildren, Hayden Harris, Blake Harris, Joshua Schaeffer, Andrew Schaeffer, Kayleigh Schaeffer and Kade Leal; sister-in-law, Kay Rath; three nephews, Kurt, Craig and Ty; and niece, Linda.
The family will receive friends at 6 p.m., Friday, Feb. 16, at Tango’s Tavern.
