Brenda L. Wallace, 59, answered the Master’s call suddenly Saturday, Dec. 30, 2017. Her life’s journey began Aug. 17, 1958, the daughter of the late Sifer and Robert Harris Sr.
She was a member of Faith Tabernacle Christian Center, Newport News. At the time of her death, she was employed as a chef by the College of William & Mary and Busch Gardens. She was loved by all, and she will be sorely missed.
She leaves to cherish her blessed memories, her daughter, Roshell Wallace; sons, Derick Harris, Winfred Wallace III, Anthony Wallace, James Holmes and Bobby Holmes; sisters, Barbara Braxton, Ardeana Harris and Delephine Bartlett; brother, Terry Harris; 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; many other loving relatives; and a host of caring friends.
Mrs. Wallace may be viewed from 5 to 7 p.m., Friday, Jan. 5, at Whiting’s Funeral Home. A celebration of her life will be held at noon, Saturday, Jan. 6, at the funeral home chapel with Apostle Shelia Simons officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 18 Briarwood Ave., in Windy Hills, by 11 a.m., Saturday.
