Sally Machens Elstrodt, 68, of Virginia Beach passed away Sunday, Aug. 27, 2017.
Sally was born in Alaska, the daughter of the late William H. and Johnnie R. Machens. Sally dedicated her life to helping people through her support of many non-profit organizations. She was known as the fundraising queen. Loved by many, she will be missed by all.
Sally is survived by her children, Matthew (Neely) of Virginia Beach; Chad of Elizabeath City, N.C.; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 9, at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 5792 Greenwich Road, Virginia Beach.
