
Helen Josephine Moore, 91, died peacefully in her sleep at 4 a.m. Sunday, July 2, 2017, in Williamsburg, Va. She was born May 28, 1926, in New York City, N.Y., to Joseph and May Kenney, and grew up in Nanuet, N.Y.
She married Walter L. Maryanski Dec. 18, 1966, who passed away in 1985. Helen worked for many years as a secretary for a tulip import firm in New York City. After retiring to Pennsylvania, she volunteered as a legal secretary for the Tobyhanna Army Depot for 10 years. Helen enjoyed cooking, crafting and watching the New York Yankees. She also loved to travel and learn about different cultures.
Survivors include her son, Thomas J. Neale of Delray Beach, Fla.; daughter, Michelle (Terrence A.) Hurt of Toano, Va.; sister, Ann (Ernest) Doherty of Cocoa Beach, Fla.; brother, Andy Kivia of Georgia; four granddaughters, Lauresa Escribano, Nadene Neale, Deanna Neale and Cheyenne Hurt; one great-granddaughter, Nessa Escribano, and twin great-grandsons on the way; and four nephews and eight nieces.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 7, at Goble Funeral Home, Sparta, N.J. A funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 8, at St. Lawrence the Martyr Church,
Chester, N.J., with burial in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Chester, N.J.
