
Emiliano Pimentel Jornacion, 95, passed away peacefully at his residence on February 13, 2016, to be with his Lord and Savior. He was born in the Philippines to the late Francisco and Juliana Jornacion.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mercedes Almadin Jornacion. When Emiliano was younger, he worked for the Merchant Marines, and after retirement, he worked at the Naval Base in Norfolk as a barber. A devout family man, he loved spending time with his family and gardening.
He is survived by his children, Eufemia Ebete, Corazon Diaz, Cecilia Galito and Reynaldo Jornacion, all of Norfolk, and Erlinda Cacao, Lourdes Sayoc, Cleofe Olfato, Romeo Jornacion and Arturo Jornacion, all of Virginia Beach; and 19 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday and Friday nights at Smith & Williams Kempsville Funeral Home. A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Saturday, February 20, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Burial will immediately follow in Colonial Grove Memorial Park.
