Martha “Marty” Moyer Fairchild, 72, passed away at her residence in Virginia Beach on Tuesday, February 9, 2016. She was a lifelong resident of Norfolk. She was predeceased by her parents, Bernard and Reva Moyer; along with her husband, Roger Fairchild.
Marty worked for Greyhound and the Norfolk Public Education as a Bus Supervisor. She enjoyed Nascar races and spending time with her family. She is survived by her sons, Bernie and Tracy, and his wife, Denise; grandchildren, Christa and Shawn; great-grandchildren, Marrisa and Riley; and siblings, Blanche Hadley and Yvonne Barocela.
A visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, February 18, at Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville. A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, February 19, in Colonial Grove Memorial Park.
