Rex Jonas Victoria, 56, deeply religious, gentle and patient man who loved being part of the veterans’ community

Rex Jonas Victoria, 56, passed away on January 20, 2016.

Born in California, he served for two years in the U.S. Army and looked back on those years fondly. He particularly enjoyed his tour in Germany. He loved being a part of the military and veteran’s community throughout his life. Rex was deeply religious and had a strong relationship with the Lord. He found comfort in reading the Bible. He was a very gentle, kind and patient man and will be greatly missed.

Left to cherish his memory: his father, Jonas Victoria of Goiana, GO, Brazil; mother, Carolyn Victoria of Bullard, TX; sisters, Janette Westin, Jane Victoria, Deborah Tant, Janice Victoria, Maude Aimee Rinehart, Elizabeth Scalzi, Myriam Victoria, and Raquel Victoria; brothers, Wesley Victoria, Bennie Victoria, Claudio Victoria, Sergio Freitas Victoria and Marcos Freitas Victoria; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and large extensive family.

The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Neck Chapel on Friday, Jan. 29, 2016, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. The funeral will be held at 12 p.m. Friday in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.hollomon-brown.com.
