Dr. Edmund R. Johnson, 82, ran his chiropractic practice for 40 years

edmund johnsonDr. Edmund R. Johnson passed away on December 4, 2015 at the age of 82.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. Ralph Johnson and Dorthee Ravene Johnson; his sister, Betty Johnson Roach and her husband, Jack Roach; and his son-in-law, Gregory S. Haynes.

Dr. Johnson was a native of Fredericksburg, VA. He attended the University of Virginia and later transferred to Lincoln Chiropractic College in Indiana where he received his doctorate in Chiropractic Science. He then served in the Virginia National Guard for six years before he started his own Chiropractic Practice in Fredericksburg, in which he retired from after 40 years of serving the community.

Dr. Johnson was a lover of Civil War History and was a member of the Fredericksburg Rod and Gun club.

He retired to Williamsburg where he resided for 11 years.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Faye H. Johnson; his daughters, Lynne Haynes and Kristin Barbour and her husband, Tom Barbour; his grandchildren Leslie Newman, Mason Barbour, and Griffin Barbour; and his nieces, Martha Fisher and Ellen Kotis.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Heritage Humane Society, 430 Waller Mill Rd, Williamsburg, VA.
