Reva Mercedes Lackland, of Williamsburg, VA, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, November 16, 2015 at the age of 99. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Lackland; daughter, Kym Lackland; and sons, Cliff Lackland and Eugene Lackland.
She was employed by Colonial Williamsburg, was an avid member of Mt. Ararat Baptist Church and was a member of the Elk Lodge. Reva also loved catering and cooking.
She is survived by her nieces, Alethea Wells and Joyce Banks; nephew, Charles Lackland; and a host of great-nieces and nephews, as well as great-great nieces and nephews.
A visitation will take place on Monday, November 23, 2015, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., followed by a service at 1 PM at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Rd., Williamsburg, VA.
