Edward “Ed” Stanley Harvell, of Williamsburg, died Oct. 16, 2015, at the age of 82.
He was a retired U.S. Navy veteran who served in both the Korean Conflict and Vietnam War. Ed loved playing pool, hunting, fishing and spending time outside. He was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) and American Legion, as well as being a member of the O.H. Booth Fife and Drum Corps for more than 40 years.
Ed is survived by his wife, Carol Harvell; daughter, Shawn Nichole Bauldree, of Florida; grandsons, A.J. Harrett and Scott Bauldree; nieces, Cindy Sanford, of New York and Dawn Marie Springer, of California; great-nephew, Brett Perez; and cousins, Audrey Lester (William), of Petersburg and Gloria Woody, of Richmond.
Military honors will be performed in his memory at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, 2015, at the American Legion Post 151, Middletown, NY 10940 with a repass to follow. A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 25, 2015, at Regency at Longhill, 5302 Lane Place Drive, Williamsburg, VA 23188.
