Mary Anne Barfoot Gagliano, of Yorktown, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend, died Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2014, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Larry K. Barfoot Sr.
She is survived by her husband, Joe Gagliano; stepdaughter, Misty Reynolds; step-granddaughter, Madelyn; daughter, Judy Altizer and her husband, Emory and granddaughter, Zoe, of Montgomery; daughter, Mary Schaper and her husband, Karl and granddaughter, Mary Katherine, of Yorktown; son, Larry K. Barfoot Jr. and his wife, Crystal and granddaughter, Abby, of Yorktown; and siblings, Ed and Judy Stillie and their families, who reside in Florida.
Mary was an avid gardener, bird watcher, boater and member of the Seaford Yacht Club who enjoyed sitting in her rocker watching the beautiful sunsets on the Chisman Creek. Her smile and generous presence will be missed deeply by all of those whose lives she touched.
A celebration of her life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 10, 2015, at Amory Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Joel Neubauer officiating. A reception will follow at the Seaford Yacht Club, 3108 Goodwin Neck Road, Yorktown, VA 23692.
