
Walter H. Johncox, of Lanexa, died July 5, 2014, at the age of 78.
He was the owner of Riverside Campground in Lanexa for 33 years and an avid fisherman who loved life on the river.
He was preceded in death by his loyal dog, Rusty.
He is survived by his daughters, Jill Lyons (Ed), Carol Starkey (Don) and Karen Wright (Kenny), all of New York; sons, Mike Johncox (Sandy), of Lanexa, Jeff Johncox (Chris), of New York, Ray Johncox (Angie), of Germany and David Bishop (Debbie), of Kinston, N.C.; 18 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and devoted friend, Connie Epperson.
A celebration of life service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 26, 2014, at Vincent Funeral Home, 9923 Pocahontas Trail, Providence Forge, VA 23140. A reception will follow the service at the Chickahominy Shores Association building.
