Grace Alice Hitchens, of Williamsburg, died May 22, 2014, at the age of 96.
She was a member of Williamsburg Christian Church and enjoyed doll collecting, crocheting and angel collecting.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Myers (Mickey) Hitchens.
She is survived by her sons, Myers (Buck) Hitchens and Tom Hitchens (Vicky); daughter, Margaret (Marty) Holland (Harold); brother, Alvin Newton (Lucille); sister, Virginia Gnatowsky; grandchildren, Gordon Fincham (Jaclyn), Robin Wilder-Hartman (Paul), Scott Holland (Megan), Jenny Bouck (Billy), Holly Hitchens-Elkamel (Brahim), David Hitchens (Stacie) and LeAnn Hart (Paul); 18 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
The family would like to offer a special thank-you to Spring Arbor and staff, Sentara Hospice and Dr. Bruce Mayer.
A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 27, 2014, at Bucktrout Funeral Home, 4124 Ironbound Road, Williamsburg, VA 23188. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 28, 2014, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Williamsburg Christian Church.
