The Williamsburg Area Restaurant Association’s annual Williamsburg Restaurant Week starts Tuesday.
“This year we have 41 participating restaurants which is the most WARA has had in their 20 year history,” Debi Schaefer, executive director for WARA, wrote in an email. “From Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner, this is the time of the year to dine for less and explore the culinary scene here in our area.”
Several restaurants including Cochon on 2nd, Amber Ox, Old City Barbecue and recently opened Illycafe, will be participating. See a full list of restaurants serving either breakfast, lunch or dinner here.
Williamsburg’s Restaurant Week runs through Jan. 31. However, some restaurants will run their specials longer.
When asked why its called Restaurant Week when the event is actually longer, Schaefer said the event started out as a week as a unit of measure and labeling it as such sounds better than “10 to 12 days.”
