WILLIAMSBURG — Chowderfest and Noktoberfest, two festive events organized by the local nonprofit CultureFix, are both slated to return to Williamsburg on Nov. 4 and Nov. 6, respectively, while Chocolate Affair has been postponed to 2023.
Both Chowderfest and Noktoberfest will be hosted under a large tent located on the Lawn of the Art Museums of Colonial Williamsburg.
Chowderfest is set to take place on Nov. 4 from 6:30-9:30 p.m. Tickets for the event allow you to taste Chowder from local restaurants including, but not limited to:

- Museum Cafe — Colonial Williamsburg
- Sweet Tea and Barley — Colonial Williamsburg
- Cochon on 2nd
- Carrot Tree Kitchens
- Culture Cafe
- Spoke and Art Provisions
- Revolution Golf and Grille
- Matchsticks BBQ
- Ol’ Dominion Burger — Precarious Beer Project
At Chowderfest, visitors get to vote on their favorite chowder and winners will be announced during the event. Chowderfest will also feature live music performed by the British Invasion-inspired band The English Channel. Admission includes two drink tickets.
Noktoberfest is slated for Nov. 6 from noon-4 p.m. This German-inspired event will feature craft beer, pretzels, games, dances, and live entertainment, including a performance by The Polka Brothers. German food will be available for purchase separately, CultureFix said.
Both events are a part of CultureFixe’s Scrumptious Festival, which aims to offer a variety of entertainment and activities over the course of the weekend.
Chocolate Affair, another event organized by CultureFix that brings together local vendors and live music for an evening of chocolate tasting, has been postponed to 2023, it said.
CultureFix notes outside coolers, alcoholic beverages, and lawn chairs are prohibited at Chowderfest and Oktoberfest.
