JAMES CITY COUNTY — James City County Treasurer Jennifer Tomes and staff recently celebrated the opening of the DMV Select at the County’s Government Center.
The DMV Select office officially opened on Aug. 3, 2020, but the ceremony was delayed due to COVID-19.
State DMV Select Director, Barry Browning, presented the office with a Virginia state flag and a U.S. flag that were flown above the capitol in Richmond to recognize the occasion.
The County has two DMV Select offices, one at 101 Mounts Bay Road, Building B, Williamsburg and Satellite Services at 3127 Forge Road, Toano.
Customers are able to process most vehicle-related transactions at both locations including:
- Address Changes that do not involve issuance of a driver license or ID card
- Handicapped Parking Placards
- License Plates
- Trip Permits and Overload Permits
- Registrations, Renewals, Transfers, Re-issues and Plate Surrenders
- Titles (original, replacement, lien release, adding liens, maintaining, etc.)
- Driver and Vehicle Transcript Requests
- E-ZPass Transponders
DMV Select locations are not equipped to process Driver’s Licenses or ID’s or insurance verifications.
