WILLIAMSBURG — Construction on Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers, a fast-casual retro-style restaurant concept, recently started at 1611 Richmond Road.
Current plans are for a 2,648 square-foot freestanding restaurant that will seat 80 guests and have additional seating available on the patio. Drive-thru service and mobile ordering for pickup and delivery will also be available. The new location is slated to open in late 2022.
“Richmond Road has a steady flow of traffic through the area and is home to a wide variety of retail businesses, restaurants and family-friendly entertainment venues that make it a perfect fit for Freddy’s,” said Dave Dreiling, franchise owner in a press release. “Our team will work hard to provide a fun and comfortable environment in the restaurant by focusing on cleanliness and quality service. When you walk in, you can expect to be greeted with a smile, and you’ll leave with a desire to again return and experience genuine hospitality we call the ‘Freddy’s Way.'”
The restaurant was first brought up for discussion in October 2021. Plans for construction received approval in January.
