WILLIAMSBURG — Three new shows have opened at the Williamsburg Contemporary Art Center (WCAC) and will run until Aug. 5.

The Fireside Gallery features works from the Art Center’s members, showcasing photography as well as painting. The gallery’s theme is “Vacation Destination.” All of the pieces showcase somewhere the artists have traveled to.

The Middle Gallery is featuring works donated by Sue & John Donaldson, Ginny Fisher, and others. All of the proceeds from sales of these works go to supporting the WCAC.

The Main Gallery is hosting the “Artisan Extravaganza!” — a non-member exclusive show that was open for public application. The works in this show are also unique media that stray from commonly seen paintings and photographs and range from sculptures, to mixed media, to textile works.

The Williamsburg Contemporary Art Center office hours are Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with the gallery being open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday. For more information about upcoming shows, classes, or becoming a member, visit its website.
