WILLIAMSBURG — After almost two years, a massive restaurant space overhaul and a global pandemic, Matt Sileno, owner of Matchsticks BBQ Co. is finally going to open a brick-and-mortar location.
Matchsticks BBQ Co.’s new location, 1246 Richmond Rd. Suite A in Williamsburg, will be open on on Thurs., Jan. 6 at 11 a.m. and will continue to open every week on Thursdays through Sundays from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. The menu will feature pulled pork, ribs, and briskets, all smoked on-site in the massive smoker that Sileno affectionately calls “Large Marge”. The restaurant also features a full bar that makes a point of serving beer, wine and spirits produced in Virginia.
In the coming months, Sileno looks forward to hosting various monthly events such as cooking classes, whiskey and cigar nights and gourmet dinners on nights where the restaurant is not open.
