WILLIAMSBURG — Community members can warm their hearts this holiday season with Community of Faith Mission’s Warm Up Williamsburg 2022 soup sale event.
Tickets are now on sale for the Warm Up Williamsburg annual soup fundraiser benefiting Community of Faith Mission, a local faith-based, low-barrier emergency shelter program.
Community of Faith Mission offers emergency shelter for the homeless in the Greater Williamsburg area on a weekly basis starting from November through March, rotating between local churches.
The soup sale event features soups donated from local chefs and restaurants, including Amber Ox, Aroma’s, Berret’s Seafood, Carrot Tree Kitchens, Center Street Grill, Colonial Williamsburg, The Hound’s Tale, Hungry Pug Food Truck, Matchsticks BBQ Co., Oceans & Ale, Old City Barbeque, Opus 9/Craft 31, Precarious Beer Project, Sal’s By Victor, Spoke + Art Provisions Co., The Bake Shop Bakery & Coffee Bar, and Two Drummers Smokehouse.
All proceeds from the event will go towards supporting the organization’s mission.
“You get three soups from chefs all around the area,” Donnie Hines, executive director of Community of Faith Mission, said. “We have incredible restaurants that donate, and they’re high quality soups.”
For each minimum donation of $35, contributors will receive three 12 oz. containers of soup – tomato, vegetable and chili.
The soups will be distributed on Saturday, Jan. 29, 2022 at the Williamsburg Community Chapel, 3899 John Tyler Hwy, between 10:30 a.m. and noon.
“The tickets sold out by the beginning of January last year. They sold out fast,” Hines said.
