JAMES CITY COUNTY — The James City Service Authority (JCSA) has announced the deadline for those residents wishing to seek financial assistance as a result of hardships caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Residents can apply for financial assistance in an amount of up to $600 to apply towards delinquency on their accounts as a result of financial hardship experienced during the pandemic.

“We urge customers with delinquent accounts to apply for assistance now as this type of assistance is unlikely to be available in the future,” said JCSA General Manager Doug Powell. “The application process is simple, and the funds can be a significant help for anone for whom COVID-19 has created a financial hardship. THe funds are a grand and do not need to be repaid.”

JCSA received federal funds in the amount of $315,000 earlier this year in order to assist its customers who have delinquent bills.

The deadline for applications is Friday, Oct. 22.
