Coventry shooting leaves one person injured

UPDATE: As of Wednesday, April 14, the York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office (YPSO) has released photos of two persons of interest in the Coventry shooting on Sunday, April 11. 
YPSO is asking the public for help identifying the two men by calling 1-888-562-5887 or 757-890-4999.

COVENTRY — One person is being treated for injuries following a shooting that happened in the Coventry area of York County on Sunday, April 11.  

The shooting occurred in the 100 block of Ivy Arch between 3:30 a.m. and 4:45 a.m. 

Shelley Ward, York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office (YPSO) spokesperson, said the victim was shot in the legs.

YPSO said that investigators have determined that the shooting was an isolated incident, and does not appear to be a random act of violence. 

Ward said that there are at least two persons of interest. 

The victim is currently being treated for injuries at Riverside Regional Medical Center.  

At this time, the investigation is still active.
