Fireworks, Black Eyed Peas and more: JCC releases the latest #lipsyncchallenge video


James City County’s emergency responders have joined in the nationwide social media craze, the lip-sync challenge.

On Thursday the video which features the Black Eyed Peas’ “I Gotta Feeling,” first responders and their families, drone footage and more — was posted on James City County’s Facebook page.

James City County Police are challenging both Williamsburg Police and William & Mary Police to make their own videos.

The James City County video is the latest lip-sync video to appear on local emergency responders’ social media pages.

On Tuesday, the York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office released their lip-sync challenge video to the tune of Will Smith’s “Men in Black.”

On July 9, the Norfolk Police Department’s lip-sync video to Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars’ “Uptown Funk ”went viral — hitting more than 1.4 million reactions and more than 67 million views thus far. Since then, the Hampton Police Department has released its own video to Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch’s “Good Vibrations.”

On Tuesday, Williamsburg Police spokesman Maj. Greg Riley said the department has been challenged to participate but has not released a public response yet.
