Many official facilities, offices and services in the Historic Triangle will close Wednesday for Independence Day. Here is a comprehensive list detailing the specifics.

James City County

  • Abram Frink Jr. Community Center: Closed
  • Convenience Centers and Garbage Transfer Station: Closed
  • Courts: Closed
  • County offices: Closed
  • James City County Recreation Center: Closed
  • Libraries: Closed
  • All county parks: Open (Freedom Park store/office will be closed)
  • Curbside Recycling: Usual pickup

York County

  • Courts: Closed
  • Virginia Cooperative Extension Service: Closed
  • VPPSA Composting Facility: Closed
  • Waste Management Administrative Office: Closed
  • Waste Management Drop-Off Area: Closed
  • Waste Management Transfer Station: Closed
  • York County Offices: Closed
  • York County Public Libraries: Closed
  • York-Poquoson Social Services: Closed
  • Curbside garbage collection: Schedule adjustment (moved forward one day)

City of Williamsburg

  • Municipal Building offices: Closed

Statewide

  • All Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles locations will close Wednesday and reopen Thursday, July 5.
