WILLIAMSBURG — The Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation recently announced the return of its History Makers Dinner Sep. 27 at Jamestown Settlement.

According to the foundation, the exclusive evening event, running from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., offers a unique opportunity to connect with others who share a passion for preserving our shared stories, while enjoying elevated dining with a side of history and an after-hours museum experience unlike any other.
Throughout the night, JYF said attendees will experience a taste of the initiatives their support funds by taking part in interactive education demonstrations led by museum educators —getting hands-on with history at a variety of engagement stations.
The History Makers Dinner is more than just an unforgettable evening — JYF adds it is a chance to change lives and shape the future, as its supporters make a powerful impact on education programs that bring history to life in ways that ignite curiosity and inspire future leaders for thousands of students across Virginia and beyond.
The foundation said in 2025, education programs served just under 200,000 learners. The sites also served 156,000 school groups, with 107 of those groups stemming from Virginia’s 134 school districts.
The foundation was also able to host two donor-funded Teacher Institute sessions. During the school year, 207 teachers from across the country attended nine virtual teacher professional development programs.
The foundation noted it has also made online education resources and curriculum materials available at jyfmuseums.org.
Individual tickets are $150 and VIP tables are $2,000, with advance purchase required to secure seats.
Sponsorship opportunities include Presenting Sponsor ($10,000), Wine Sponsor ($5,000), Bar Sponsor ($5,000), Program Sponsor ($500) and more.
The History Makers Dinner is semi-formal attire.
