ICYMI: Brick Fest Live Debuts at Hampton Roads Convention Center in June

HAMPTON ROADS — The largest hands-on event of its kind will debut in Hampton when Brick Fest Live opens at the Hampton Roads Convention Center June 8-9, with more than a million Lego bricks on display and ready for play.

Brick Fest Live allows families to enjoy mind-blowing creations from all over the world made entirely of this timeless toy. Children and adults will be amazed by life-sized Lego models and hands-on building activities that have been assembled to set the imagination free.

According to the event’s organizers, “At Brick Fest Live, kids can build together with their parents, siblings, and even grandparents in this one-of-a-kind family bonding experience, while simultaneously being inspired to become the next generation of artists, engineers and leaders.”

Brick Fest Live attendees can see life-size models, help build a Guinness World Record-setting floor mosaic, express creativity at the hands-on build zones, race brick-built cars down the 35-foot-long derby ramps, shop hard-to-find Lego merchandise, build walls of Lego mosaics, enter the glow zone and build with bricks that shine under blacklight, meet Lego Masters from the hit television show, play in a brick pit with hundreds of thousands of Lego bricks and more.

The show will take place June 8 and 9 at the Hampton Roads Convention Center  in Hampton. Doors will open at 9 a.m. on June 8 and at 10 a.m. on June 9.
