
WILLIAMSBURG — Colonial Williamsburg has a variety of special events slated for Presidents Day Weekend.
A Salute to the Presidents begins at 1 p.m. on Feb. 18-19 at Market Square North, behind the Courthouse. The event, free and open to the public, features the Fifes & Drums of Colonial Williamsburg, Virginia State Garrison Regiment, and Nation Builders Washington and Jefferson.
According to the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation, the commemoration will recognize those citizens who have served in the office of the President of the United States over the centuries and the states of their birth.
Three special events are included with a Colonial Williamsburg ticket:
- A Public Audience with George Washington: Feb. 17 at 3-3:30 p.m. on the Governor’s Palace Stage.
- A Public Audience with Thomas Jefferson: Feb. 18 at 3-3:30 p.m. on the Governor’s Palace Stage.
- A Public Audience with James Madison: Feb. 19 at 3-3:30 p.m. on the Governor’s Palace Stage.
In addition, a special ticketed event “An Evening with the Presidents” will be held at the Hennage Auditorium from 7-8 p.m. Feb. 17-18. A Colonial Williamsburg ticket is not required to purchase a ticket for this event.
The Art Museums will also hold a performance of “My Dear Madam” at the Hennage Auditorium from 3 p.m. to 3:45 p.m. on Feb. 19. A ticket to the museum is required to attend.
