Al Roker and Dylan Dreyer will visit Williamsburg on May 15 to file the Third Hour of TODAY. (Visit Williamsburg)
WILLIAMSBURG— Visit Williamsburg is bringing NBC’s 3rd Hour of TODAY to the Historic Triangle, broadcasting from the Governor’s Palace in Colonial Williamsburg on May 15th at 9 a.m ET. The live show comes at a time when Visit Williamsburg is working to promote the diverse tourism attractions and experiences to be enjoyed in Williamsburg, Jamestown and Yorktown throughout our nation’s semiquincentennial year.
The TODAY Show announced on the Wednesday, April 15th episode that Al Roker and Dylan Dreyer will be co-hosting. They’ll also be joined by special co-host, comedian and actor Patton Oswalt, as his personal connections to Williamsburg date back to his college years attending William & Mary.
Edward Harris, President & CEO of Visit Williamsburg noted, “This is a great opportunity to see Williamsburg, Jamestown and Yorktown on a national stage. As everyone is gearing up to celebrate America250, we wanted to put the full scope of the Historic Triangle front and center in the media, and the reach and influence of TODAY is unmatched.”
The date of the broadcast is significant, marking 250 years to the day that the Fifth Virginia Convention met in Williamsburg to debate the issue of declaring independence from Britain. Without the events of May 15, 1776 there would be no July 4, 1776.
Fans of the show will also have the opportunity to register for free tickets, which are being offered directly through the show’s website. To register, visit today.com/williamsburg.
